Slugs: The Movie definitely ranks in the category of "so bad that it's good". Originally titled Slugs, Muerta Viscosa (literally Slugs: Death Slime), it's about what you would expect from a movie about killer insects or bugs.

The plot is pretty generic: a small town is invaded by over-sized killer slugs that have been mutated from toxic waste dumps, are getting into people's homes and water supply, and killing them. It's up to three people, including the town's health inspector, a science teacher, and a sewage treatment man, to stop them from succeeding, but of course, no one believes them until it's too late.

So yeah, pretty standard fare for this kind of movie. It's the kind of plot they've been doing since the 1950's, and was hit over the head by American International Pictures in the 1970's.

The dialogue is hilarious, but there's also plenty of gore on display for gore hounds. There's never really much of a pay off and some of the people as obstacles to the plot can be annoying, but the movie is hilariously bad, and definitely worth a watch.
