An unfunny movie with enormous effort put into the production. I never laughed; it morphed from one cliche of clueless nerds stumbling around and went straight into another cliche of self-destruction, alcoholism and dire consequences.
The two formats didn't merge; it was awkward and totally lacking in dramatic or comedic strength. An unsatisfactory and methodical ending with no catharsis besides cliché character development you might have seen coming from the very beginning of the film.
I watched it in a state of utter boredom.
