Review of Slither (2006) by Harry W — 30 Jul 2012
The only reason I wanted to see Slither was because of Nathan Fillion. I ended up surprised at this Horror comedy. It's sorta like a grindhouse film with its zombie elements, but also a monster horror.
So I think the best way to put it is that it's a film that falls into the genre "Grindhouse 2000" which is a term I've coined just for this film. It's fascinating and clever in that sense, and in others it can be considered just weird and lacking substance, but in the end Slither creates a new genre of film and uses legend Nathan Fillion to lead the hunt.
It had me on the edge of my seat at times.
