Review of Slither (2006) by Adam F — 04 Apr 2013
"Slither" is a grotesque, disturbing, frightening and very funny blend of horror and comedy. When it's funny, it's really funny, the dialogue in the film is snappy and very memorable; when it's frightening, there's a lot of tension and the audience will get nervous as the characters they've grown to care for are placed in very dire situations.
Audiences beware though, this film doesn't pull its punches and when an alien invader decides to take over a body through unpleasant means, not only will you cringe at the idea, but you'll cringe at the visuals.
This movie is truly disturbing when it comes to its kills, but that is one of the joys out of seeing them. It's a very clever horror comedy that isn't a spoof so there is some genuine horror here.
