Review of Slippery When Wet (1958) by Steve M — 13 Oct 2015
This is not a review of the film, though it stands as one of the seminal works of the genre. I want to correct the info section that is at the head of this page. The Endless Summer was not made in 1966.
It was filmed in 1962-63 and included earlier footage. The movie debuted in 1964 as a 16mm film that Brown toured around the US, in person. The 1966 release was when he had it blown up to 35mm and got a distributor to book it into movie houses around the country.
So, Endless Summer is a 1964 film, not 1966. Do your homework.
