Today I saw this movie in Sedona at the 21st Sedona International Film Festival 2015. It won Director's Choice for best documentary. I loved it. It was a real treat to be introduced to a modern day hero.
I had heard of Segways and didn't realize he was the one who invented them, in addition to the incredibly fancy Coke machines that you find in some restaurants. As the movie indicates, once Kamen invented a water purification machine, he strategically hooked up with a big corporation like Coca Cola in order to get it produced and distributed internationally to poor countries.
A deal was set up where Kamen would update Coke's beverage dispensers and they would help him produce his water purification system. Great and inspiring movie.
