Slingblade is not only marks the directorial debut of Billy Bon Thorton but it's also an example of magnificent American filmmaking. With a heart wrenching script and performances, the story of a retarded murderer who is released from the hospital on good behavior is made out to be ver realistic.
All in all, Slingblade is a sleeper hit masterpiece that needs to be seen by all.
