Review of Sling Blade (1996) by Jamison R — 09 May 2010
On the outside it appears to be another film about a mentally challenged man who we fall in love with and learn from. But this is much more than that. A deep character study where we are unsure if the protagonist is truly likeable.
Billy Bob Thornton is amazing in this role. His interaction with the young boy and others in the town is interesting to watch.
