Review of Sliding Doors (1998) by Carol H — 25 Jul 2013
A romance-comedy with a twist of time play realities will surely delights its audiences with Gwyneth Paltrow doing it in British accent. Good set of casts and deliver the goods whenever it needed in the scenes.
Paltrow was stellar in the lead role in her British accent! Two alternate plane realities happening within the storyline may confuse some but audience will get it on once it is watched carefully the difference between the two realities and its unison towards the end.
Sliding Doors may not totally be a romance or comedy movie for some but it is a movie of "what if?" in romance and life that it provokes you to think that a simple situation of missing a train may change your fate in life.
It makes you realize how our life will turn out or will it be radically different in "what if" situations as a result of different choices. It makes you also think if such fate or destiny really happens.
One of the feel good movies around that I recommend to watch.
