Review of Sliding Doors (1998) by Bradford D — 02 Apr 2011
"Sliding Doors" stated premise is to give the audience a "what if?" experience worthy of the Twilight Zone. Unfortunately this is all just bait and switch. They use the sliding door premise only to tell us two formulaic romantic stories instead of one.
It's by the numbers from that point on, with the girl meets boy, girl falls in love, a misunderstanding makes girl lose boy and on and on. You know the drill. Skip it and clean your oven instead.
