Review of Sleuth (2007) by David K — 18 Jul 2008
This complete reimaging of the play has fantastic dialogue and plays much more deeply into the homoerotic connection between the leads. Like the original, the older character is much more impressive, but Jude Law also give a phenomenal performance.
The dialague is biting and modern. My only complaint is that the cinematograpy is unncessarily artsy and obligue and the lighting is ridiculous. Otherwise, this is a fun and meaty film.
