Review of Sleuth (2007) by David H — 17 Aug 2008
Another strange one. I LOVED the witty, fast-paced dialogue; it is obvious that it was a play. It's one that needs to be watched again, though, as there are quite a few twists in it. It is also split into two 'acts', and it is interesting to contrast the two against each other.
However, definitely worth a watch, if only because Jude Law and Michael Caine's 'games' are a joy to watch. It really shows their acting abilities - despite the film having only 2 characters on-screen, they really manage to carry their parts well, I liked it! Some of the shots are a little strange, though - eg through the security footage.
I don't think they needed to do so many strange shots, the actors carried the film well enough without it.
