Review of Sleuth (2007) by Emy S — 17 Dec 2008
This is a brilliant adaptation of a play and a remake of the 1972 classic with Michael Caine and Laurence Olivier and you know what...it's awesome and one of the best play-like movies I've ever seen.
This is due to Harold Pinter's clever script, Kenneth Branagh's flawless direction and Michael Caine and Jude Law's superb acting! What a team!! I thoroughly enjoyed this cat and mouse tour de force and would watch it again (even buy it).
The house it's filmed in is amazing and I wasn't bored for one second. The most surprising thing about it is how damn good Jude Law is in it...possibly the best thing he's ever done and it shouldn't be missed!
