Review of Sleuth (1972) by Noel K — 06 Jun 2009
An interesting thriller, not as good as either the play or the original film, but very nicely played by Michael Caine.Law is also good, although his yorkshire accented copper is a stretch too far.Production design is excellent, all steel and twisted wire, and Branagh's direction is tight,if a little too fast paced at times, while the script has great dialogue, but remains, much like the source material, a little anti-climactic.
