Review of Sleight (2017) by Ryan F — 06 May 2017
At first it seems like it's too slow, but in the end it turns out to be a great pace for character development. It's got a lot of elements and themes that I like: a story of someone coming out of the hood, magic and a potential superhero story. This hinges on a lot of the 6-7 characters with an awesome job of the future star, Jacob Latimore.
The soundtrack fits the Los Angeles suburb setting, ranging from the various hip hop styles to the more simple yet effective piano and synth soundscapes.
I highly recommend for everybody to go watch this. This is similar to Chronicle with an emphasis on family and the struggle.
