Johnny Depp plays his usual offbeat character, and does it very well. The special effects were decent. The storyline is a weak spot, as is the character portrayed by Ricci (her acting in the film is nothing to write home about).
If you rent it you won't feel cheated, but you also won't think it was a movie you couldn't live without seeing either.
