Some of the dialogue isn't really as witty/quirky as it tries to be, but Burton's patented style suits the world of Sleepy Hollow perfectly. Johnny Depp's portrayal of Ichabod Crane as a squeamish detective is one of my favorite Depp roles.
Certainly one of his most original post-Ed Wood performances, before he started resorting to variations of Captain Jack Sparrow.
