Review of Sleepy Hollow (1999) by Henry E — 16 Jan 2015
To his credit, Burton does engineer a largely entertaining film, much in his development of a typically creepy mood through a spooky setting and score. In the genre of horror, Sleepy Hollow will offer very little to fans of frights, although it is quite fun watching famous actors get killed in seemingly increasingly eccentric manners.
It's creepy but not scary - just about as Burton-esque you can get.
