Review of Sleepy Hollow (1911) by Guido S — 02 Nov 2013
Figured I would check this out after all these years. Johnny Depp is a detective who gets reassigned to Sleepy Hollow after New York wouldn't hear his cries to make investigations more scientific. He's on the trail of the headless horseman who is a very supernatural entity and he believes it is based in flesh and blood.
It is interesting to see all his gizmos and gadgets in his investigation and it has a great look. However, some of the acting is a little weird, having Christopher Walken as the Hessian/Headless Horseman is a little questionable since it's more cheesy than scary.
A few things where you can tell it is Burton behind the camera as well which take me out of it, but overall, a pretty good movie.
