I kept thinking, didn't that kid die in Bridge to Terabithia? It must have been adapted from a book because there seemed to be a lot of scenes involving symbolism that might have worked better in print.

The scene pictured on the movie poster felt like it didn't belong in the movie at all, but it was just too pretty cinematically for the director to bring himself to cut it.
