Review of Sleepwalking (2008) by Pat Z — 19 Jan 2009
I agree with Richard Roeper's take on this movie. I thought it was great and believable and not at all predictable. The first 30 minutes were pretty heavy and I didn't know if I could keep watching.
I have a hard time seeing children in bad situations and I came to despise the main the brother and sister characters. But when they ended up back on the farm, it really struck a nerve. I live in the Midwest and it's winter now, so it was almost like looking out the window.
Overall the feeling was very heavy, so the ending provided some much-needed relief. It really made me think about the characters, so that made it seem real.
