It is NOT laugh-out-loud funny. And it isn't funny-ha-ha, either, if you were hoping for funny-ha-ha. You'll be disappointed if you watch this movie expecting it to be either of those two levels of funny.
It's a realistic, "interesting" little story with a light touch of humorous humility that will make you smile and nod your head in agreement. And it's true, too, according to Mike Birbiglia.
In the end, you'll like Mike for his honesty and insightfulness and you'll cheer him for his indie movie-making.
