Review of Sleepwalk with Me (2012) by David M — 06 Mar 2013
I had heard of this movie before and had wanted to see it, but I couldn't find it in theaters. So when I saw it on Netflix, I was pumped. But I had to retain myself because although I do love indies and they are my favorite form of movie, you don't know what you'll get with them.
Maybe that's a good thing but it's not when your really expecting and hoping for one thing and you get something completely different. I just didn't want to get my hopes up. So I watched this movie and going through it I thought it was funny and I was laughing, but then the end came along and that's when I knew this was more than just a comedy about a stand up comedian who sleepwalks.
This was a sweet and somewhat sad film about a troubled relationship and trying to make your dream realized. It has a lot of undertones and it was just more than what I was expecting when I walked into this, and I love it for that.
A funny cover for this sad story that should not be ignored. A great one.
