Review of Sleepless in Seattle (1993) by Sean Michael S — 22 Jan 2013
When it comes to light comedies, "Sleepless in Seattle" is the perfect example for a film that tries to make you sad to justify the means of something romantic happening at the end of the story.
In place of character development, we are shown a flurry of "cute" experiences and montages which gives us no reason for rooting for love to occur between our two characters. If you want more than two sad people eventually falling in love, then a more hefty and sorrowful film might be the way to go.
