Review of Sleepless in Seattle (1993) by Robert H — 17 May 2014

One of the best romcoms around imo that doesn't have you crying or thinking things are too high on the unbelievable scale.

Sleepless in Seattle manages to hit all the right notes while remaining just grounded enough allowing the viewer (if in such a situation) to truly think the circumstances to be possible.

Combined with light hearted story, down to earth and likeable characters and told with just enough tongue in cheek comedy to get smiles at just the right times, Sleepless in Seattle is truly one of the great romcoms around.

Of course the nods to An Affair to Remember are also very nice and allow for a film to play out into that necessary happy ending.
