Review of Sleepless (2001) by Jarett B — 17 Nov 2007
A return to the giallo for Argento shows shades of what once made him the master (remember I said shades, overall the film is average): the operatic direction, long tracking shots, Goblin score, elaborate hand movements, and stylized gore.
Unfortunately, all this is for not, as Artisan should be ashamed of releasing such a bad transfer. Watching Argento in full frame is like watching it with one eye closed! No bonuses, language, or subtitle options.
Shame.
