Review of Sleeping with the Enemy (1991) by Deb S — 30 Jan 2010
Julia Roberts plays a battered housewife who's living in terror and fear of her husband.Patrick Bergin is the vicious controlling husband who beats her up for the slightest infraction; if the towels are not lined up correctly in the bathroom or the items in the cabinets are not set a certain way.
She fakes her own death, moves to a small town in Iowa and starts over. She meets nice guy played by Kevin Anderson but her husband figures out she's alive and begins hunting her.
I recommend this edge-of-your-seat thriller to those of you who like a nice, suspenseful thriller or are fans of Julia Roberts.
