Both Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis are extremely likable people to watch on screen. Many people havegotten to know them via a comedy route, but in 'Sleeping with Other People", we get to see a bit more of a serious side, and unfortunately, it's not necessarily for the better.

What works brilliantly in this film IS the comedy. It's a perfect setup for a different spin on a rom-com most people probably expected to see, but we never get a full commitment from the writers to really sink into this platform. The most trouble I had with it was the fact everything felt rushed. What's the point of making a film about two people who never sleep with each other if there's no tension to the "will they" or "won't they" throughout it all? This entire story just feels like one long look at two people forming a pretty decent friendship before eventually falling in love. I hate to say it, but Sudeikis' character doesn't come off nearly enough as womanizing as he should nor does Brie's character as slutty as you'd think to fit the bill.

But, while those problems persist, it's still very enjoyable to see two well-liked actors put on an effortless show and actually seem like they enjoy working with each other.
