Review of Sleeping Beauty (2011) by Niki S — 11 Nov 2011

This movie was so boring, pointless, and weird.... did I mention boring? It was so slow and boring that I only watched it because I thought it couldn't be that all this pointless nonsense was leading up to nothing.

.. and sure enough, it delivered nothing. The characters made no sense and were boring as well... the actors and actresses looked bored making the film and Emily Browning (although a good actress in her own right) had absolutely no personality and would do things for absolutely no reason.

.. Nothing is ever explained because how can you explain pure stupidity and nonsense?... They leave it up to your imagination which is simply not good enough because the only thing I could imagine was something actually happening that made sense and nothing ever did.

To say this movie is artistic is just dumb... just like I can put a pile of dung in the middle of my living room and call that art... give me a break. I could have been painting my toenails or washing my hair and I actually sat through this extremely disappointing movie that forever etched in my mind the revolting images of wrinkly old men naked and rubbing up against a "sleeping beauty" who seems more like she is in a coma and looks as though she is 14 years old.

Even for the pedophiles out there, it doesn't deliver any sex scenes to satisfy even the sickest of fantasies. Thumbs down in every way possible.
