Review of Sleeping Beauty (2011) by Max H — 05 May 2012
Almost like the sequel to Kubrick's worst movie (Eyes Wide Shut), takes a look at sexuality in a strange, allegorical way. Julia Leigh, in terms of visuals, has learned from the best in film, and every shot has an experts touch.
She has a ways to go in terms of being able to tell the story with her images like her great predecessors, but there's something about how interesting the film is to watch that its hard to avoid it,even though its quite simply a failure.
