Review of Sleeping Beauty (2011) by Milla S — 27 Jan 2013
I thought the movie was beautiful. The main character is emotionally sleeping throughout much of the movie; she is cold and distant and doesn't seem to take much joy in anything. She also acts in careless and sometimes foolish ways and seems to seek danger.
All of this, including taking up a job in sex work, is a desperate attempt on her part to feel something. It isn't until the end that her unusual (old) "prince" "wakes her up" in an equally unusual way.
If people are going to review this movie they should at least try to decently understand it. My only criticism is that it wasn't clear enough what the meaning of the movie was.
