Review of Sleeping Beauty (1959) by Mheldz A — 02 Oct 2009
Absolutely beautiful! A film that really makes you appreciate the effort Disney animators in the 50's put into their work. Nowadays you just have to type a couple of commands into a PC and boom! Colour, sound, effects. Instead of hiring expensive voice actors, Disney should just get a crew that can actually draw. Hoping 'The Princess and the Frog' can redeem them.
All the charm of a fairytale combined with modern heroics and romance. And of course, the waltz composed by Tchaikovsky.
Conclusion: F*!k that modern CGI crap, this style is timeless.
