Disney's first feature in cinemascope - an absolute must see on bluray. what I once experience purely on a story-level as a child, I can now fully appreciate from an artistic standpoint. the artistry at work here is unmatched.
the backgrounds are filled with so much detail, I found myself freeze-framing nearly every master shot. the angular style, inspired by medieval stained glass, coupled by an entrancing score inspired by tchaikovsky make it a truly timeless masterpiece.
