Review of Sleeping Beauty (1959) by Jacob E — 28 May 2013
It is a story that is very well done in dealing with fairies and make believe.
The damsel in distress role is played out perfectly with prince charming coming to the rescue and having to slay a dragon and win with true love. It is the perfect story with all the elements and Disney did it well.
It was a little boring though during the beginning portion while it introduces the characters and the set up of her 16th birthday, but it really picks up towards the end.
