Review of Sleeper (1973) by Joel A — 06 Mar 2014
An extremely quirky Sci-Fi parody directed by Alternative Genius Woody Allen in the earlier stages of his career.
Simply the story Health Food Shop Owner from NYC in 1973 who wakes up 200 years later. It is filled to the brim with crazy modernistic set pieces, slapstick humour & some bizarre theories of how the future will be.
Woody somehow keeps this bizarre film watchable & even though this film regularly requires you to suspend your belief his humour keeps you there. Not for everyone but a must for Woody fans...
