Review of Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland (1989) by Jake S — 27 Dec 2007
This is hilarious. I'm serious, this movie isn't supposed to be great but it is comedic gold. It's actually the essence of B-movies. I choose this one over its predecessor because its soo over the top and crazy. All Angela does is kill people, hide the bodies then moves on to the next set of victims (who never know whats going on....UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE!). It's so bad, it's good.
Angela is the best killer ever cause shes so funny. She just kills everyone with a smile on her face and spouts some one-liners. I do find her pleasntly erotic and sexy, but then again I'm deeply disturbed.
The acting is about as good as the material demands. Theres a lot of WTF moments of the film that add the the comedy. Like the opening scene where Angela runs down a woman on the streets in broad daylight. LOL! The obvious reference to Friday the 13th series was bizzare but cool. The ending with the survivors is so strange You can't help but laugh, it makes you want the teenagers to die.
You have to watch it if your looking for some comedy or even some nudity. A lot of women take their shirts off (sexy, sexy women...), and in the end doesn't that make us all winners?
