Spare all of the high budget wastes of time, this is the premiere 80's horror movie.

I have to admit when I bought this, I expected complete 80's schlock and maybe a guilty pleasure at best. Even the employee at FYE snickered when I brought it up to the register.

But this is one fucked up and creepy movie!

Unlike many of the movies of its ilk during the 80s, there aren't as many lighthearted moments to tide you when death isn't occurring on screen. In fact, the whole movie is quite negative in tone and mood from start to finish, with only a crude prank and a summer camp baseball game as comic relief.

The acting is pretty standard for the genre--mediocre to bad, but there are creative kills, a killer score, and its opening and closing are both horrifying.
