Review of Sleepaway Camp (1983) by Tristan P — 13 Jun 2008

Terrible, just terrible. I realize this is a cult classic that a lot of people around my age grew up on, but I just don't see it. The acting is awful, the gore is just not there, and the surprise ending is ruined by some of the worst special effects I've ever seen. I've heard oth that it was a mask of Felissa Rose's face on some naked dude, or that it was a case of superimposition. Either way, it looks incredibly fake.

I apologize to all of you who are devoted to this film, but I just don't get it.
