Review of Sleepaway Camp (1983) by Andrew M — 11 Feb 2009
Yeah, this is pretty bad. Atrociously bad acting throughout, stupid writing and dialogue, no feel of anything that could be remotely linked to suspense (not that I was expecting much, but still...). What works for movies like this one is often the unintentionally "so bad, it's good" humorous thing.
None of that here. just boring and stupid. The ending however is great, and almost makes up for sitting through the movie. While the identity of the killer is pretty obvious from early on, there is a twist ending that pretty much nobody would have predicted.
