Review of Sleepaway Camp (1983) by Riley H — 13 Mar 2010
So disappointing. This is supposed to be one of the slasher classics (not that many of them are classics). The acting is worse than most other slashers. Not just a little worse. But horribly bad. Particular offenders are everyone in the opening scene, and the woman who plays the aunt/mother, who is appears to be doing a parody of somebody (hopefully not herself).
The twist would be nice if it made sense. The problem is that the killer has an alibi. It is physically impossible for the killer to have done all the murders, so the ending makes no sense. Too bad.
