Review of Sleepaway Camp (1983) by Ruby H — 02 May 2014
For me, the epitome of 1908s "What-the-hell-did-I-just-watch" horror films is Juan Simon's Pieces. Others will disagree and point at this cult classic. It is as wretchedly acted and directed no doubt, but not as absurd and therefore not as funny.
It did well in its initial release and still carries a considerable fanbase, judging by its collectibility and online activity. This may have to do with Angela, our protagonist, and that final scene which is as creepy as they come.
