It's uncanny for a film to redeem itself through its conclusion, but Sleepaway Camp does just that: after those closing shots sear a hole into your psyche, you'll re-examine the commonplace narrative and appreciate its subleties, and may even exuse the terrible campiness (pun intended?) that plagues nearly every aspect of the movie.
