Review of Sleepaway Camp (1983) by Colm G — 29 Apr 2011
Sleepaway is a camp horror (In both senses of the word). Most of the acting is awful and camp and cheesy.
The plot is actually quite good. Some of the deaths are really entertaining and silly.
I read somewhere that Sleepaway Camp has one of the most memorable twists in a horror, and I never expected what happened to happen. I guessed who the killer was half way through, but the ending was simply brilliant, I never saw it coming.
This is not for most people, but if you're into camp horrors you will love this film. I truly did.
