Review of SLC Punk (1998) by Joe L — 21 Jul 2008
Totally awesome film Matthew Lillard steals the show. It's a wonderful film that I could even relate to living in the center of a community with heavy mormon influence. The narration was great and the script was amazing.
It really captured the sense of being an outsider and of the entire punk rock community in general. Had a rather sad but appropriate ending and led the main character down a path we all end up on. Great acting and soundtrack and overall very entertaining.
It is what independent film making should be all about. Rock solid film and worth a viewing!
