Review of SLC Punk (1998) by Ryan F — 26 Jun 2010

I figure it's about time for me to review one of my favorite films. SLC Punk! is a film that hits close to my hometown, we have an actual punk scene here but it keeps getting smaller. I was (still am at the shows) a punk.

This film literally made me look at my own crowd and say, "Wow, for how much we complain about conformists, we dress in uniforms, there is nothing original." which is quite the realization when you've been in the punk scene for several years.

I think when a movie changes your life like this movie did mine, it's a good movie. Not only does this movie make you think but it's very funny and quotable as well. I give SLC Punk! a 5 out of 5.
