Review of Slaughter High (1986) by Brandon D — 23 Jul 2010
Some movies are so bad, they're good and then there's Slaughter High, originally titled April Fool's Day and filmed in 1984, but after the suicide of the lead actor, Simon Scuddamore, shelved for 2 years. Oh, and did I mention that it was made in England with English actors, but set in America somewhere. And the actors are not good at keeping their American accents with come and go as the movie. The MST3K bunch would have had a field day with this movie and the cheat of an ending in which we see it was all a dream. I guess that was why it was supposed to be April Fools Day but that title had already been picked for another slasher movie, that really wasn't a slasher.
Pretty much this movie is not as bad as many of the slasher movies but because it is so poorly made, that it's worth watching.
