Review of Slaughter High (1986) by Scott A — 02 May 2013

I remember a lot of this movie, so I must have seen it once before. But this may be the first time seeing the unrated cut.

Okay, first things first. This movie is stupid. Like in a so stupid way, it actually becomes fun after awhile. I mean, the night scenes are so pitch black you simply can't see anything. The killer is everywhere and seems to know every single action anyone else will take far before they do. The score is a flat out rip off of Friday The 13th 2. Acting is awful. And one character actually says that they will be safe if they can make it to the end of April Fool's Day...at NOON!!!!

All that, and this was still really fun. But if you are a film snob, you won't be able to enjoy this. Just saying.

Caroline Munro is hot and may be the only good acting in this...almost everyone else is awful. Yeah we get a ton of great death scenes, beer can was my favorite, and a lot of gracious nudity. Seriously...I love that while most have died, the skank of the group finds time to cheat on her husband and have a crazy sex scene.

And this may be the first time we see the killer full frontal no?

And the cheesy as heck theme song they play throughout is simply amazing. It's the one bit of music not ripped off of Friday The 13th 2.

Check your brain at the door, and just have fun with this thing.
