Review of Slap Shot (1977) by Kyle E — 07 Sep 2009
"Slap Shot" is a ridiculously raunchy comedy that centers around Paul Newman, whom is a couch of a third tier minor league hockey team. It becomes apparent within the first ten minutes of the film that they will do just about anything to win.
There's some raunchy humor here that rivals some of the recent raunchy comedies (think the Apatow films), so it's quite shocking to me that Paul Newman of all actors would be apart of such a film. Maybe it's my love for hockey, but I did quite enjoy this film.
