Review of Slap Shot (1977) by Loyal D — 12 Aug 2013
There aren't many things in life that I love more than Sports and Movies. This movie did a decent job of mixing the two. It reminded me of a blast from the oast hockey version of Semi-Pro. It wasn't as funny as Semi-Pro though.
It was a decent hockey movie but not my favorite. It may be a little too aged for my liking. The best scene in the movie is the opening scene. So I guess you can say it slowly goes downhill from there.
Some of the jokes and fight scenes were funny, but this movie was a half an hour too long. It seemed to drag on a bit. Good for it's time but there are better Hockey movies out now.
