Review of Slackers (2002) by Frank M — 15 Jan 2010
I loved this movie when I was in middle school, and I revisited it last weekend (now in college) and I still love it. After a slow start to the beginning of the movie, it really takes off. It's a fun movie about a cheater falling in love and coming clean in the most grandiose way possible.
You gotta admit there are a lot of funny bits in this movie, mostly from Jason Schwartzman playing Cool Ethan and being really really creepy about it. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but with an a capella rendition of "The Sign" by Ace of Base in it at the turning point, how can you not like it?
